WE are trying out a new Broadband service and, if everything works okay, we hope to be able to offer it to tenants, at a competitive price, next year.

To help test the service, 100 tenants have been randomly selected to help try out the system and provide reports on how it is working.

WE REGRET THAT DUE TO THE COST OF THE TRIAL AND LOCATION OF TRANSMITTING EQUIPMENT, ONLY 100 HOUSEHOLDS IN WESTCLIFF, SCUNTHORPE, ARE ABLE TO TAKE PART.

Earlier in the summer, tenants kindly took part in a telephone survey organised by North Lincolnshire Homes.

The survey asked them about the internet, whether they had access to Broadband services and how they used the internet.  

We wanted to have a better understanding of how tenants are using the internet and how North Lincolnshire Homes might be able to help more people get online in a faster and cheaper way.

We got some useful information which told us that when it comes to connecting to the internet, price and reliability were the top priorities for tenants.

We have now looked carefully at what they told us and decided that we will be going ahead with a trial project to supply Broadband to 100 tenants in Westcliff. Those tenants have been selected randomly from those who took part in the survey.

The trial will last up to 28 January 2012. Those taking part must provide us with regular feedback on the speed and reliability of the connection.
