Development grants are for any group within North Lincolnshire with charitable aims. However, the applicant must be able to show that any outcomes will have direct tangible benefits for tenants of North Lincolnshire Homes. The grants will be limited to a maximum of £2,000 per application for the Financial Year 2009/10.
To help groups progress with a project for their individual area it may involve working with other agencies and carrying out consultation exercises. The grant could help pay towards producing surveys, external advice and any training requirements.
The amount of grant that an individual group qualifies for will be agreed by the North Lincolnshire Homes Grants Panel and will depend on the type of project, e.g. purchase of computer equipment, large community events, match funding when bidding externally etc.
To qualify for a grant the following criteria needs to be met:
- The group must have adopted formal constitution
- The group must sit within the North Lincolnshire geographic boundary
- The group can only apply for a grant once in any financial year
- The group must complete the application process
- The group must agree to the Grant Conditions
Application forms are to be submitted to the Resident Involvement Team. Decisions will be made by a panel comprising of;
- Resident Involvement Manager (or nominee)
- NLH Finance Representative
- Two tenant volunteers
- Voluntary Action North Lincolnshire member
The panel will meet frequently to consider applications and to monitor expenditure.
