We currently have vacancies for tenants to sit on the Resident Scrutiny Panel.
This is no ordinary resident involvement opportunity. This new resident involvement structure allows real scrutiny of customer facing services and issues. It also ensures greater transparency in how the organisation operates and puts tenants at the heart of the organisation.
What will the Panel do?
- Give an independent view of North Lincolnshire Homes processes and performance.
- Highlight what is good about the organisation and what needs to change.
- Make evidence based recommendations to the Board.
What would be expected of the individuals on the Panel?
- Lots of homework
- Working on their own initiative
- Doing their own research
- Assessing services against key performance indicators
- Attending meetings with other panel members and with officers of North Lincolnshire Homes
What skills would you need to be an effective panel member?
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Be able to understand and analyse reports and information
- Possess excellent verbal communication skills
- Be able to express views clearly and effectively in a formal meeting setting, making reasoned contributions
- Be able to challenge constructively, whilst respecting the roles, views and feelings of others
Individuals applying to sit on the panel would have their skills assessed against a set criteria, with those that meet the criteria being invited to take part in a formal interview process.
