We provide a range of sheltered housing. Tenants in sheltered housing can receive visits from Support Officers who provide support to assist older tenants with any housing or tenancy related issues. Sheltered housing is mainly provided for people over 60 years of age, though this may be lowered for some people with special housing needs or for particular properties that are in low demand.
Depending on the type and the location of the accommodation, tenants may have to pay for heating, lighting and hot water with your rent. Your share of the charge will be added to your
rent by dividing the costs between the number of homes involved in the scheme.
Any local arrangements will be explained when you sign your Tenancy Agreement.
Our twenty Sheltered Housing Schemes throughout North Lincolnshire provide individual homes and may be grouped under one roof. These homes provide a secure and friendly environment for people over 60 years of age. At the same time they allow residents to live an active and independent life with opportunities for social contact through communal facilities.
We have 20 Sheltered Housing Schemes available in Barrow-upon-Humber, Barton-upon-Humber, Bottesford, Brigg, Broughton, Epworth, Goxhill, Haxey, Keadby, Scunthorpe, Winterton, Wrawby and Ulceby.

Housing related support services do not include nursing care, or helping with personal tasks such as bathing and giving medication. If you are having difficulty managing your home or feel you aren’t coping, talk to us. We will identify the right help you need and work with other services to help you stay in your home.
