Sometimes we have empty homes with little or no demand on the Housing Register. When this happens we may advertise the property through the Kwik Key Scheme. Applicants must still fill in an application form and be subject to certain checks but this can be a quick way to get a home.
Most Kwik Key properties can only be let to people of a certain age due to them being Sheltered Housing properties. These properties are specifically for people aged 60 or over (with some exceptions) and are fitted with a 24-hour emergency pull cord system*.
Occasionally there are other types of properties available which may suit a family or a younger household such as:
- No bond or deposit required
- Lower rental costs
- Lifetime tenancies**
- Professional housing management service
*Charges will be incurred for this service
**Some tenancies may be subject to an introductory period. All applications are subject to housing related checks.
