Our Board

North Lincolnshire Homes Board is made up of 15 volunteers - five tenants, five independent members and five North Lincolnshire Council Opens in a new window nominees - and has the overall legal responsibility for the governance of the organisation.

The Board is supported in its work by four sub-committees to which it delegates or refers business to for detailed consideration. These are:

  • Audit and Risk Committee
  • Resources Committee
  • Operations Committee
  •  Remuneration Committee

These committees are attended by Board members and meet at least quarterly with the exception of the Remuneration Committee which meets as and when needed. Each committee has a specific remit to look at particular areas of work on behalf of the Board.

The Audit and Risk Committee ensure that NLH is properly audited, both internally and externally and ensures that internal controls are effective.

The Resources Committee considers issues relating to Finance and Human Resources (HR).

The Operations Committee keeps under review compliance with all housing management and maintenance policies, procedures and performance standards.
The Board holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) every year.
Each year a set number of tenant board members will step down and there will be elections to select who will replace them.

The Board of North Lincolnshire Homes meets regularly. Dates for forthcoming meetings are scheduled for:

  • 7 December 2011
  • 25 January 2012
  • 28 March 2012
  • 23 May 2012
